PACS offers several standard systems. These systems are pre-designed from the electrical to the programmable aspects of the system. The systems allow for the customer to customize the systems operation to their needs. Most of the software is soft coded so that most variables and set points are accessible thru password protected screens. Start-up times for these systems is generally much shorter than for a typical start-up for one of these systems. However, no system is exactly identical so some modifications to the hardware and software will need to be made so start-up can not be completely eliminated. The documentation provided with these systems is excellent. A manual comes with each system describing the functionality of the system. The software is documented describing, with long comments, the purpose of the code and how it works, so troubleshooting the software is much easier for laymen with the software. We provide these services on all of our projects, but since these systems have a standard base, development time is cut down drastically, allowing us to offer these systems at a discounted price to our customers. Our Standard CIP System is based on a 1, 2, 3, or 4 tank system. Each cycle can be written from the operator interface, but the unit will come pre-programmed with any cycles provided to us. Changes to each cycle can be made from the operator interface. The base unit comes with 16 cycles available, but more can be added if required. New cycles can be named and created from the operator interface. There are several options for the operator interface. An Allen Bradley PanelView style operator interface or a PC based operator interface running a Wonderware style software can be used. The PC based interface offers much more flexibility and it is easier to edit CIP cycles from this style interface, but a PanelView style interface still offers the same functionality minus some of the bells and whistles. Start-up for these systems is normally 1-3 days depending on the size of the project and the number of "gremlins" that show up to lend a hand during commissioning. Our standard Batching system is designed to deliver raw ingredients to multiple batching vessels with the most efficiency. The system is capable of storing 150 recipes in the PLC Version of the software and 300 on the PC Version. Each recipe can be named and edited when necessary. The recipes are step based, so when an ingredient is selected the quantity and step must be entered. When a batch is started, the step counter is reset to 1, the system then looks at the recipe that it is running and makes a call for any of the ingredients or functions that are called for on step 1. Once all of the functions called for in step 1 are complete, the step counter moves to step 2 and so on. If an ingredient is being delivered to another vessel when it is called for by another, the request is put into a request queue and is delivered to the new vessel when all previous requests for the ingredient are fulfilled. An additional add-on is the Production Supervisor PC based software, which allows the person in charge to select the quantities of each different recipe that needs to be run that day. Then the system takes this Production schedule and designates the tanks that are to be used for each different recipe. The system uses the tanks as efficiently as possible and an alarm will activate when a change of recipe is going to be performed on a tank, allowing whatever preparation of the tank that is required. Once preparation is complete the operator acknowledges this and batching continues. Key Benefits
